Sitting outside enjoying the sunshine....drinking my Protein Shake. Hubby is having a rest before he goes out for the evening. He was feeling tired due to not enough sleep before our workouts. He said once he got moving he was good but was feeling the fatigue afterwards. I'm surprised I didn't feel more tired. Our Yorkie was restless in the night & woke us up. I think I fell back asleep more soundly because I didn't sleep well Saturday night & was tired. I woke up all energetic this morning...looking forward to a Gym day 😁 Sammie was back from vacation. I was doing some arm cable pulls & she remarked on seeing the muscle in my arm. Makes me feel good to know even if I can't manage really heavy weights with my arms yet, I'm showing progress 💪😊

So...I googled Gyms on Jekyll & there aren't any other than those affiliated with hotels. We're staying at a rental house. Hubby & I started talking about how to get in workouts while we're away. What we can bring that doesn't take up too much space. Who are these people 🤔 😯 😊 There are bike rentals & the beach for walking. l can't believe I'm that person that doesn't want to go a week without working out!

I'm on my own for dinner. I think I'm going to cook a hamburger patty...add some stuff to it like feta...maybe grilled onions & sweet potato fries (Hubby doesn't eat them).

I brought my book out....gonna get off of here & read a chapter or 2.

140.6 lb Lost so far: 32.2 lb.    Still to go: 5.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Try Resistance Bands. They come in various "weights" and a set won't cost nearly as much as dumbells. Plus they're extremely light and don't take up much space in your suitcase. I use them instead of going to a gym, a holdover from Covid lockdown. They come with a booklet of exercises, but of course YouTube can give you workouts. Bananas, we do have a set of resistance bands, but they don't have handles. Hubby bought them when he was doing therapy for his back. We're looking into buying handles or a new set of bands. I use them at the Gym along with weights.

NavyWife, we have a Yorkie & a Schnauzer/ Bichon. They usually sleep pretty well & are trained not to wake up too early. When Hubby & I retired we bought drapes for our door to the deck & blinds for the window in our bedroom to keep the room dark in the morning.

Thank you, Bec-ca! I love sharing my new enthusiasm for working out. If I can be won over, anyone can. I've never been very athletic, choosing activities like gardening or walking for my exercise.

Your dogs have been trained well. 👍 My husband jumps to every wimper they make so they are spoiled. He created little monsters!:) lol
