Hubby & I picked out new glasses & ordered them today 🤓 I've been wearing the same frames for several years, so it was fun to get a new style. I also ordered new lenses for my prescription sunglasses.

I had a coupon for free Bagels at Kroger & some more coupons for items I use regularly, so we stopped there afterwards. I bought fruit yesterday at Walmart but they had no watermelons, so wanted that as well. I had a coupon for Salmon. It was up about $2 a lb. so I debated. I really wanted to get some, so I calculated dividing the package into 3 meals, as I usually do. It wasn't too bad from that perspective. Angus ground beef was actually on sale $3.99 a lb. & I had a coupon for it...bought 2 pkgs. I did notice the linguini I usually buy for $1 was was up to $1.79. I bought fresh cherries 🍒 & asparagus. I found Olive Tampenade Hummus...Boar's Head...so a bit more, but I really like the flavor.

We got home in time for me to watch my latest guilty pleasure on Netflix...Bridgerton.

My sister has invited me to come over on Saturday & float in the pool at her house. She actually lives in her own place that's at her daughter's. The kids are going away for the weekend, so it'll just be us. We're doing lunch...then pool time.

Hubby grilled burgers 🍔 tonight for dinner & I made a salad 🥗 I defrosted a slice of the carrot cake I had frozen, so we each had small slices for dessert...I still came in under 1600 calories for the day...just barely 😊 I accidentally tipped over my glass of sparkling water I had poured that was on the counter as I turned to cut Hubby a slice. Had to clean it up off the counter, cabinet fronts, floor & rug....so I worked for that cake!

144.4 lb Lost so far: 28.4 lb.    Still to go: 9.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Will be looking forward to seeing those new glasses soon, Sherry! Did those go up in price, too? My last frames (2 years ago) were $350 (!!!). I can only imagine what they'd cost today, given that everything is going up up up. Will do my best not to sit on them 😁🤓

JB, my regular glasses were $450 but I paid $77.50 with my insurance. They would only have been $6.50 (with insurance) but I got transitional lenses that go from light to dark in the sun. My insurance also paid $35 towards the sunglass lenses.
