We got out for our afternoon walk early today as we will for the next few months. The time change brings earlier darkness so we'll be inside hunkered down before dinner time. We had a frost warning last night so I moved plants inside the house & garage. I have to rearrange to get them all inside. A few may get some more time on the deck before the really cold weather sets in time stay.

We had a nice (very late) evening going into Atlanta for the George Strait concert Friday night. I really enjoyed seeing Eric Church live! We also saw Caitlyn Smith...a new artist I wasn't familiar with. She was good, too. It was a bittersweet experience. We were invited to join our friends in a private suite...going down by limo. We've done this a few times before. Our host is very ill and we have not seen him in a year & a half. (Partially due to Covid quarentine) He is very proud & private & has cancelled plans with the guys multiple times in the past few months. His wife planned this outing to celebrate her Birthday...and I think to try & give him incentive to get out of the house. We weren't sure he'd agree to go til the last minute. We were so glad to get to see them....especially him, as there is talk he may not survive the rest of the year. He is only 3 years older than me 😥 He has several children...the youngest a sophmore in High School. Hubby & another friend did discuss coming over to "hang out" & see him & he agreed that would be good.

I'm cooking chicken thighs with baby carrots for dinner. Maybe the corn I bought as well. I was surprised when I was at Kroger Thurs. afternoon the selection of chicken was very limited. On the other hand there were cases full of turkeys. I didn't check the price though. I looked for pork chops or a tenderloin but they didn't have the thick bone in chopsI like & all the tenderloins were marinated already.

I'm gonna feed the dogs...they don't realize there was a time change and are telling me they're hungry. I'll have to transition them into their schedule.
