Note to self* Don't skip 3 days of exercise then work in the gardens for several hours, finally do a workout then take an afternoon walk. Oh, and I had to give everything a spray of deer repellant, after discovering an entire hosta was missing....eaten to the ground! Not sure how that happened, since they didn't bother the others. That will result in very achy legs 😕

Then today my weight was up...in spite of eating under my allowed calories. It could have at least remained the same. I did eat my dessert...a 40 calorie frozen Cherry Outshine Pop after 10 PM. After dinner I took a shower thinking we'd settle in for an hour of TV & relax. I spotted a water stain on the ceiling in our bathroom. We discovered our upstairs cooling unit in the attic had gotten plugged up somehow & the condensation had overflowed the drain pan. Hubby tried to siphon out as much water as he could to alleviate the problem til we can get the repair guy out. This entailed him lifting himself up from the ladder into the attic opening, since we don't have stairs for that part of the attic. Pretty impressive.....78 years old and still have enough upper body strength to lift himself up like that! That meant instead of planned relaxing I had to "help" him....hold the ladder steady, hand him stuff, etc. Hence, my planned dessert that didn't get eaten earlier was my reward.

Called our Heating/Air guy & he's coming our first thing tomorrow. Hubby decided to suck more of the water up with the wet/ dry vac today. He did find the taller ladder (that I told him we had but he said we didn't 😏) so getting up there was slightly less difficult. I still had to be on hand to "help". Luckily we're having an unusually cooler day & can leave the upstairs unit off til bedtime. It shouldn't create too much condensation overnight.

I had gone outside to eat my Lunch/ snack & read. It started to rain....eventually working up to a torrential down pour. I had to stuff my book & phone up under my shirt & make a run for it inside.

My achy legs prevented me from sleeping well. Much better, now. I had thought after I ate I'd do my exercises outside since it was nice & cool. Looks like I'll have to work out indoors.

Need to get to the grocery store....freezer/ fridge are getting low on necessities. Salmon for dinner. I think I'll cook the last of the broccoli...that is also the last of the veggies & put it all on a bed of pasta.
142.0 lb Lost so far: 30.8 lb.    Still to go: 7.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sounds like a busy day! Try make "one pot pasta" if you are busy ... in the last few minutes of cooking the pasta, add broccoli or green beans or fresh spinach and fresh tomatoes. Finish it with olive oil, some spices or fresh basil and cheese. Delish! and only one dirty pot!
