Well, whatever soda you used to drink. I still drink one diet cola a day. Maybe today was my last day. You make we want to cut out soda, too. :)

Thank you deb_nash. I hope you are able to stop period: it would be best. I LOVED cherry colas, but decided it was easier for me to give it up totally. No acid reflux and no damage to my kidneys' nephrons from phosphoric acid. The saying is, "when you know better, you do better." Whatever transformation that took place in my brain, in mid-Decemberof 2013, has allowed me to make changes that I've NEVER been able to make before. I have been a sweets eater all of my life. I have cut out desserts and candy. If I snack, I will have a piece of fruit or popcorn with green tea. I never felt that I had discipline. I am surprising myself.I also had to ask myself IF NOT NOW, WHEN? You CAN do it. No more soda. Good luck :=)

omg, I did not know that sodas are bad for the kidneys. My dentist said sodas are damaging for my teeth. Another reason to stop drinking it. Thank you for the info!

January 20 was the last day I drank diet cola! Since you stopped drinking soda pop, and had good reasoning behind it, I had the courage to stop drinking it! Thanks. :)

deb_nash, I am so happy that you were able to stop drinking soda.We have a lot to celebrate in that we were able to do what I would wager we doubted would have been possible: we have taken another step towarding taking control of our health. I hope that you feel the positive changes that I have felt since I removed soda (and candy and cakes and...) from my life. There is no more need to relieve that sudden little itch. Removing all of that sugar leads to being more comfortable in our skin. Notice the difference and ENJOY.
