I have not been doing well lately, after doing so so good prior. I have gained weight!I do this every time I get to doing well on my new way of living. I am so ashamed of my self. I just about didn't post it. I am going on a water fast today. Wish me luck!
182.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 22.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 5.6 lb a week

Don't go from one extreme to the other. One of the things I like most about fatsecret is that it allows me to see the "net" effect. If I slip up on one day, I can fix it over the next couple of days without the mentally destructive "I am a total failure" feeling. Take it in stride, think about the enjoyment of having splurged a little, and know that you can get it back :)

sorry for the second quick post, but I forgot to mention that your food intake and exercise have a delayed effect. During the holidays, I of course slipped up a bit, but did not see the damage for about three days. Salt can cause water retention and really skew the results! I am back on track and have pleasant memories about the wonderful holiday treats that I enjoyed together with family and friends.

Hey Deb, don't be so hard on yourself. It's good to recognize when you have had a lapse, but then you pick yourself up and start back on track. Beating yourself up really doesn't do anything except affect you negatively. Look at where you started and see how far you have come. Positive thoughts will get you a lot further. You've got this! Hang in there!

Thank ya'll my buddies. Ya'll made me feel better. I'm harder sometimes on myself than anybody else is. My husband did'nt say anything about me gaining weight. I guess it's just water weight or the Holidays are just now catching up with me. Well I've been very careful what I've put in my mouth today.

Hey, Debi... so glad you decided to post it. That really helps in a few ways. First, your buddies on here can help you. RDKlein and Jass are so right! Second, you're becoming accountable... which is a huge step. Third and probably the most important in my opinion, is you need to post it so when you drop a few pounds you can actually see the loss rather than considering it as part of "getting back to where you were" -- where it seems like no big thing. ANY LOSS is important to focus on and make a big deal of, even if it is really only "getting you back to where you were". The only way to do all that is to post it. HANG IN THERE, Deb! You'll be back on track before you know it. Focus, plan ahead, and most of all don't stress about it. It will happen.
