So this is just a little rant on my part. I knew as I got closer to my goal weight I would eventually get catcalled more often while walking like I used to. Now being catcalled on walks has never stopped. I've been catcalled from cars on walks since I was 14. But chubby me might get one on the mile walk to and from the grocery store where I counted 4 honks on my walk today. Is it because I'm skinnier? Is it that I walk with more confidence and people feel the need to shout things and honk? Well one creep took the cake today. After offering me a ride (which I declined.) He shouted "I'd pay money to eat you a@$" and when I didn't react once wasn't enough for this guy. He followed my path along the sidewalk drove past me at the next parking lot exit and doubled down to make sure I'd heard him the first time! This guy kept following me tried for a third time and was thinking about a fourth but a combination of the good ol finger and grabbing my phone to get a picture of his license plate finally sent this guy packing. What gives people the gall to pull this nonsense? Ugh!

p.s. I'm still going to enjoy summer and my regular walks to the grocery store but I predict my middle finger is going to get a lot of exercise this year.

Rosie Im well prepared for self defense mace is always a good idea though. I've heard of people recommending spray paint cans in places where mace isnt allowed.

Please be safe! Some of those men may have a violent history (r@pe, attempted kidnapping, etc) always always have your guard up and be vigilant of your surroundings. A town/city Can never be too safe these creeps are everywhere. Try not to have the same routine and change your route if possible.
