Good swim, followed by walk, early bed because my butt was dragging from lack of deep sleep. 833 strokes, average heart rate of 151 and 10.4METs. I even took two breaks in there between sets. Result was that I kept the intensity going all the way through the third set. Got a little crazy after and tried to do some butterfly in the current. Massive fail. I was chatting with a friend who's also a swimmer and we think I need something to hold me up out of the current until I find my way. Best way to describe the feeling was if you've ever been waterskiing and tried to swim directly in the wake put out by a big outboard motor. It's doable if you can position yourself on top of the wake, but I can't find that place. Might need to try it at the beginning of a swim when my arms are fresh. Anyways, something to work towards. Never been my favorite, but how cool would it be to able swim an IM in an endless pool? Goals. Back used to be my best stroke, but it's also pretty challenging to keep my place in the current. Blah, blah, blah, sorry.

Walked dogs later, it was a good night. Shrimp and ravioli for dinner, wish it had felt more like going out, but it was too cold for outside dining by the time I got to sit down. NSV, ran into a friend at the park who saw me in running tights and said I was the only person she knew not gaining weight in lockdown. Last saw her around Christmas, I think. That was nice. I am happy with not gaining and getting better at the things I want to keep doing. Her pugs still want to eat my dogs. that's never going to change.

I keep trying to schedule a shot appointment. Too many hours trying over the last week, I don't know how my mom got in, but very glad she did. That was the biggest worry. Been told the key is scheduling it in the middle of the night. That's not going to work for me. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing until it's less crazy. Oh wait, I live in California. It's always crazy.

Blob down, muscle up, going to keep pushing. Next week should be slightly better than this last one but followed by complete and utter chaos after that. Oh well, it is what it is. Had fun with an almost full moon in daylight. Seems to be key in capturing the details. The crops are what they are. Good reason to get out and walk.

Yard today. Rains have caused the stinging nettles to pop out everywhere. Best to pull them when they're small.
