Sunny but cooler first day of Spring here in North Georgia. I slept in this morning....awake til after 2 AM reading my book...The Henna Artist. It's our Book Club selection for this month. I have really enjoyed it and just finished it. I have another book to start that I need to finish by the 26th. I had a hold on it for months & of course it arrived at the library at the same time as the other one. Normally I can renew it if I don't finish in 2 weeks but if there is high demand ( other holds on it) you're not allowed to renew.

I did go out earlier & raked a small area in the front yard & pulled a few weeds. I didn't stay out long though.

I was amused this morning by a couple of squirrels on our deck. They show up for the peanuts we put out for them & the birds. Usually the squirrels will chase each other off hoping to get ALL the peanuts. These 2 were obviously a male & a female cause they were cuddling....being all romantic 🥰💕 🐿🐿 When I put the peanuts out they got down to the business of eating....and being selfish.

Hubby just got home from running errands, so we'll probably head out soon for our walk.

I think I'm going to create something with pasta for dinner. I have some left over sausages and some fresh spinach in the fridge.
145.2 lb Lost so far: 27.6 lb.    Still to go: 10.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Gib, Alka Joshi wrote the Henna Artist. A very interesting look into Indian culture in the 1950's. I'm reading The Beekeeper's Promise by Fiona Valpy now.

I’ll add them to the list ( & check my local library) - love books about different time periods & cultures! Recently watched all 3 seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix so haven’t read anything in last 2 weeks after The Water Dancer.
