I was feeling disappointed last night when I scanned thru my weigh ins for January & realized I was up 4 lbs. from January 1. So....I was quite pleased to drop 2 of the lbs. & officially be up only 2 lbs. 😀 In actuality I think my weight was lower Jan 1 cause I was just starting to feel sick & my appetite was off. I'm happy with where I'm at today....under goal by almost 3 lbs. I know I should be happy with anything under goal....but you feel what you feel.

Speaking of how I feel....my arm was really sore & I felt "off" yesterday. I was tired & didn't quite feel right. Happy to report I had a good night's sleep & woke up feeling "normal". My arm is still slightly tender at the injection site but it doesn't hurt to move it around anymore.

I almost feel a little guilty about getting the vaccine. My brother & sister-in-law are still trying to get her 94 year old Dad in for his first shot. I talked to a friend in North Carolina who is scheduled for his first in about a week. He's 78...cut off for seniors in S.C. is 70 years old. There are some plusses to living in a rural community with a lower population. After all of the first responders were vaccinated there was that ability to get started on the senior community. Having just turned 65 in September, I'm still getting used to the idea 😌 Don't feel old....

It's cold and has been windy all day. The birds & squirrels didn't even come out for their peanuts this morning. There is a slight chance of snow flurries, but I haven't seen any yet. Put away some laundry & swiffered the master bedroom & bathroom floors, but haven't done much else today. Called one of my sisters to catch up & finished a book. I'm fantasizing we're sitting outside at the winery, listening to music...enjoying a glass...and it's warm 😊🍷🎶 Our friends are there...and we're not wearing masks....

Cooking chicken thighs for dinner...that's as far as the plan for dinner has progressed.

Hubby & I talked about Super Bowl earlier. No party this year. He was saying we should make a pot of chili...so I'll probably do that. Maybe plan a few snacks. Hard to believe it was just last year and we had gathered with a bunch of our friends for a big party....lots of food....to celebrate football.

Meanwhile, Hubby is starting a fire in the fireplace....so I'll have to take my enjoyment where I can ☺


142.8 lb Lost so far: 30.0 lb.    Still to go: 7.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
