Holy cats, I was not expecting this! It's been a rough go lately. I suddenly quit my therapist, we're (still) trying to build our house, and we're now attempting a FET cycle. School has been consistently in session for our kids for a full month now. Their activities are in full swing. We've reached our cruising speed and it's busy but fun.

And then there's today. 7 years ago tonight I got the call that my dad was admitted (again) to the hospital and it wasn't looking good. He had asbestos in his lungs (but no cancer -- whoo!) and CHF. He'd been struggling to get his health in order. His cardiologist and pulmonologist weren't working together and trying to treat each in isolation vs in tandem. It finally became too much and his heart gave out.

Not a day has gone by where his impact on me hasn't been felt in full technicolor. Yes, I cried that night and in the days since. But I am 110% grateful that for 32 years he was mine. Good gravy, was I ever blessed.
