w0000000t! The streak continues! Maybe there is something to this no sugar thing. Too bad I'd go crazy if I stayed on it for too much longer. Only one more week left in the challenge. Time to step it up.

My playing card workout backfired yesterday. It was ugly. For those of you that don't know, I've been working out with a deck of cards for my strength workouts. If the card I pull is a 7, I do that many pushups, situps, and squats, then take a short rest and pull another card. Well, yesterday I pulled all tens, face cards (count as ten), and aces (count as eleven) with the exception of one 8. I thought I was going to die.

Random thoughts... The power of no. I don't like turning people down. I am a people pleaser to a fault most of the time. Something I've learned with dieting is that attitude will screw you over every time. You have to learn not to be a doormat, or you'll never succeed. There are going to be a lot of people that don't care. I'm not saying your parent/friend/spouse doesn't care about you when they temp you with a cake. I'm saying they don't care about your weight. If you care, you have to learn how to say no... and mean it.


randomness1) No one should live by the early bird policy without finding out whether they classify as a bird or a worm.

randomness2) It doesn't matter if you win or lose... until you lose.

randomness3) When you are trying to convince yourself something is right, it is usually wrong.

I joined Sararay's Bootcamp challenge for January and because of that I had to cut out all refined carbohydrates (white bread, white rice) and sugars with the exceptions of fruits, dairy, and honey. There's only one week left, but I think I may extend some of these guidelines a while longer because I've been doing so well.

Arrrgh! I just checked my challenges progress and I'm 2nd overall. That's awesome, but knowing I'm so close to numero uno means I'll be kicking my butt extra hard with the workouts this week.

Too bad you weren't in Vegas! Luck of the draw, dude! I have cut way down on my sweets in the past couple weeks and I can tell a difference in how I feel - not losing much weight but am not having those cravings all the time (and I do mean ALL the time). BTW, I believe that people pleasers are the worms...be careful!!!!
