mountainman2 Thank you! I appreciate the support. Today, I finally hit that universal wall of "I'm kinda depressed and fed up with this weightloss thing" attitude. It's stress. A lot is going on, especially with job hunting. I love most products and services in technology, but I am not looking forward to another ZOOM interview. Oh well. Gotta keep moving on, upward; or, in our case, down in clothing sizes or scales. I'm allowing external things to cloud my focus and joy in feeling better and stronger today through discipline, weight loss and working out. I haven't had any cheat days, so maybe I need one soon. Man, the depression is real, and I feel quite useless, not good enough, and frazzled with IRS crap. The uncertainty is getting to me, I think. I need to take a breath, step back, read FS entries, and re-focus. This is temporary, and I know I should believe there's so much to look forward to, but it's just not feeling like that at this moment. Good luck and stay safe out there.

That is a nice loss, but I am so very sorry you are so discouraged about work and fed up with things. Looking for work is tough during the best of times. There are so many things you can not control in life, so the fact you are having a triumph today in this area shows your strength to control your food! A tiny break isn't a bad thing as long as it does not get your down more or off the rails... Then it doesn't help. Hang in there! Just one day at a time!!!!

You had a great drop! Hope your day gets better! If you don't want a cheat day...have a cheat meal or a cheat treat!! Wishing you good luck on your interview!

I only wanted to lose 30 lbs. but I did allow myself a few times to indulge a little while I was losing....including a week's vacation & Thanksgiving & Christmas. I didn't go crazy but I allowed some days of going over my calorie allowance. You may have earned a day to treat yourself of you can go right back to the plan.

melissatwa, Paige Teel, SherryeB, jcmama777, John10251 thank you guys so much for the much needed insight, suggestions and support! I am taking them to heart right now. I am holding on a bit tight, and a cheat meal or snack is at the top of my list tomorrow. Hey! We are healthy. I've avoided Covid, thus far. Have a great rest of the week! Stay strong.

Best interview advice I’ve gotten is to treat it as a pleasant conversation. Answer questions directly but resist urge to ramble. Practice with a friend. I believe you will find the right job for you, BBBT. There are surprises, good ones, right around the corner! And if want something as a treat or as comfort food on a particular day, eat it and log the calories. You only answer to yourself & if you’re accountable to yourself, you can choose anything in moderation. Plus, your friends here will encourage you to keep making good choices. ❣️🥰

Wow GibJig. I sure admire and feel inspired by the very strategically smart interview approaches suggested. Thank you so very much. You know what undoes me? Before the interview starts, you see yourself on camera. It kinda kills all of the work and prep I made into the interview in the first place. My confidence just slithers right down the drain. I feel I couldn't sell water in a drought at the moment. But, I do follow and take workshop courses on YouTube via Andrew LaCivita and all of the applicable "learn how to learn" vids. It's helping immensely. I will get where I need to go, I always do. It was easier when I was younger. "Just start digging your way out," my mom used to say.

BBBT I would be happy to do a mock interview if you want to practice on zoom. I just team interviewed a couple of candidates today for a vacant teacher slot. Your industry is not the same, I know, but an outsider perspective might be helpful. I’m in the east coast time zone - I am free tomorrow 4-10pm. Send me a message on FS ( you have to log in on computer instead of phone to send messages) if you’re interested. I’m totally serious and mean it!
