Staying in my weight range even while eating half a medium pizza 😍😋🍕 & Oreos for dessert. Of course that works when lunch is half an avocado with bagel thins, pickled okra & olives. Breakfast was my customary fruit & half bagel with peanut butter. And the Oreos were the thin style so I could eat 4 for only 140 calories....my only sweet treat for the day. My lemonade treat with basil & mint was Crystal light. I think I'm finding a happy balance.

Reading comments on here I wondered if I should try to up my protein. Doing a bit more reading I don't know if that's necessary because it says if you are very active you might want to consume 100 mg. or more. I'm moderately active. Also read a little more about carbs. That's almost a dirty word to some, but I think I'm OK there, too. Since most of my carbs are the healthier variety & have done nothing to hinder my weight loss journey I think I'll continue the direction I'm in.

I also took a look at my FS history. It appears for the past 10 years I've hovered around 160 to 165....getting down to around 150 for a short span & up to just over 180 😦 at one point. So I'm pretty happy I've been able to maintain between 142 & 146 since March 2. I know I have to stay focused but it's doable & I'm not depriving myself of foods I like. I can still enjoy wine & cocktails. What I can't do is mindlessly consume stuff out of boredom. Duh!!

It's a sunny, warm day but there are possible showers in the forcast. No real plans today. Dinner is leftover country style ribs and I think I'll do sliced cabbage roasted in the oven.

My daughter got the results from her MRI. A brain tumor & cancer have been ruled out. She does have a bulging disk. It hasn't been determined exactly what is causing her symptoms. She has a follow-up appt. with her oncologist & they'll determine where she goes from here. Honestly, I hesitated to consider a brain tumor but we lost a family member within the last few months to exactly that. So it was within the realm of possibilities. Thanks for all the warm thoughts & prayers for her. ❤

I need to be as diligent as you have been and are currently. You inspire me! Great news about your daughter's results. Hope they can give her some answers and an easy and effective remedy. 💕

I'm happy I can be an inspiration, Becca! I think a lot of my success is based on my being a creature of habit. I tried to replace some of my less positive habits with good ones...eating 2 veggies as sides for dinner, only eating half a bagel for breakfast, creating lower calorie cocktails for when I'm in the mood. I try to get up & move more...eliminating the afternoon TV binge with snacks included.

Thank you! I am sure I can incorporate some of these tips into my nutritional routine. 👍 Motivation. Motivation. Motivation. I had stated here, last December, that I was going to get to my goal weight and improve my health by this summer and my motivation was the birth of my first granddaughter. Well, here we are and I have to get it together. I have gained more than half the weight I lost 2 years ago. I refuse to give up. It's such a mind game for me. 🥴 Thank you for the encouragement. I really appreciate it. ❤
