frankie_bug's Journal, 17 December 2019

Got a letter from gynecology today asking me to ring to make an appointment. Trouble is, thanks to all the stress eating from the last two months, my BMI is too high for treatment at the moment. Do I ring now and explain and hope they can give me a later appointment? Or do I leave it til after Christmas and, if they ask about the delay, tell them I wasn't home for the holidays and only just got the letter? If I go in and I'm too heavy I have to lose the weight then go back to the doctor and get referred again. At 33, with NHS treatments stopping at 35, I can't afford that.

I would ring them and rearrange for later date. So you don’t have to go through the whole thing again. Just don’t tell them you have put weight on otherwise they will refer you! Xx

Plus you will have it off and more if you get later appointment for February. Xx

Yeah. I haven't actually seen the letter, my post is still going to my old address lol, but apparently there's only so long they'll wait for a response before kicking me off the waiting list anyhow. So now I just need to hope they're either busy and won't have any appointments for two months or so, or that I can think of enough reasons to refuse the first few appointments I get offered 🤦

Id bluff them saying you are away until New Year. I know from experience you dont want them to forget you. Good luck whatever you do.

Chestnut, it's taken a while to lose it lol, time I'm starting to feel like I don't have now. But what I do have is a job that sees me walking over 6 miles a day and an exercise trampoline. I'm gonna indulge over the silly season and then kick my own arse come the new year 😂

Frankie In the summer my target is to walk to Littlehampton along the seafront, care to join me?
18 Dec 19 by member: Chestnut63
Google says that would take me about 47 hours 😂😂😂 Maybe I'll do the equivalent over a few days 😂
18 Dec 19 by member: frankie_bug
Frankie it is about 7 to 8 miles ,I'll give myself 3 hours and the bus can take me home! 47 hours where are you?

I understand Cardiff bay has some nice walks?

It does indeed. My new years resolution is to either actually get out and walk or put a video of a trail on YouTube and 'jog' along on the trampoline 😂
