Back down a couple. How do I know if I’m gaining muscle? Is there a simple formula for body fat percentage?
187.0 lb Lost so far: 23.0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

There's no formula per se. Do a Google image search for "male body fat %" and you can get a visual idea though.

There's no way to tell on a standard scale by crunching numbers though.
