Good morning!

First of all, I'd like to congratulate the Americans on the election. We Europeans see the benefit of your Democrat president. I find it such a shame that some of you don't.

(Also, if you feel like commenting about how unfair it all is, about how many dead people voted for Obama, how it is all rigged, how Obama is probably not even American, and all the other ridiculousness, please do it elsewhere. Your comments will be deleted.)

I'm down 100 grams today. Not much, but enough. I'm supposed to drop 100 grams on average per day, if I want to reach my goal on time. :)

I did great yesterday. I stayed within RDI even if I had class, and food always gets to be a problem there. My luck was that due to the shorter running time of the class, they did NOT offer neither breakfast or lunch. We had to wing it on both, and it ended up just being a slice of bread with cheese before class, and a small sandwich after. It fit nicely into my RDI.

I actually think I should be lower weight today, but I did eat a LARGE dinner. Wife made chicken soup, and it was simply amazing. I had seconds, but again counted it and made it fit. Her soup had pieces of chicken breast and tons of veggies, mostly cabbage. Yum!

Obviously, a meal like that will weigh me down for a day or two. Who cares, it was good, healthy and within RDI.

I think that is what I need to think, when I choose my foods. When I have had the most success losing weight, I haven't really looked at the fine details of what I ate, as long as it fit in my calories. Of course, I also had almost no sugar, as I was off candy for what, 8 months? I'd like to do that again, within reason. It's damn hard though.

I haven't had candies for the last few days. Well, almost. I had like one or two bites here and there, but no more than (I think) two in a day. I'm not concerned about that. If I can keep it at that level, then it's all good.

I'm trying to remind myself, that when I want MORE of something heavy on carbs, then it's not necessarily hunger. More likely, it's the carb demon wanting more. So far, I can ease my way out of it by thinking about it in a more logic way. If I understand why my body react the way it does, then I can counter react. At least, that's the theory, and at least I can do it some of the time.

So, today is a busy day at work. It's also cake day. No cake for me, thank you. I'd rather pass, and NOT have that demon on my shoulder, even if I can think my way out of it. I think it'll be easier for me to simply skip it.

I have fruit and tomatoes that I want to bring, and that'll have to do.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Going to class yesterday, and having guests over for dinner AND still be within RDI.
- Morning coffee.
- NO CAKE cake day.
- A busy day at work to keep me occupied and away from thinking about the damn cake. lol.

So annoying that we have to "consciously THINK" all the time to maintain..... I guess, this is with us forever. The people who are lucky enough, to subconsciously keep at a healthy stable weight, are blessed. Keep going KK :-)

Thanks for the congratulations KingKeld. I took a deep breath when they called the election. I am so tired of hearing about the US as a divided nation. We have always had political division here but the tides pull us forward thank goodness. Our president is too "middle of the road" for me. I am much more of a liberal. But I am delighted that given the choices available, he was re-elected. He has and will accomplish many good things and I am delighted the election is over! I am really tuned in to your maintenance journey. It helps to be reminded that this journey is a life changing and ever evolving one. It is also a tremendous and achievable challenge. Thanks for the ongoing inspiration.
