Yup. When you do anything that stresses muscles, you retain water to repair them. I gained a lot by just starting to walk. Granted, being very out of shape, that little bit of walking up a hill was an extreme workout for me. LOL If you don't do it every day, it'll drop off again.

Is avoiding exercise so as not to gain water weight an option? Just kidding...

That's what I did, believe it or not. Dumb, I know. I knew it at the time, but I didn't care. I wanted out of the 200's so waited until I was 195 before starting PiYo. And waited until I was in the 180's before upping it to every day instead of every other. It was mental trickery, but it was what I needed.
