I’d say this is excellent for this week! I bet you got more exercise in with your travel this past week and that offset higher calories. I find that as long as I stay in a calorie deficit that I can eat pretty much whatever I want. Now if I had pizza or candy bars for every meal I think that might affect me ;).

I ate fried fish, fried shrimp, a couple burgers with buns, a full on chocolate m&m cookie, and a half a bag of pretzels. In addition to normal eggs bacon, protein cookies and Atkins bars. I don’t know why my intestines haven’t just given up and left me lol

Hmmm Keto diet for you then? If so I can see where that stuff might be bad. However it doesn’t seem bad to me! I doubt you ate all that in one sitting. And only one cookie? Not much of a cheat there. Want me to teach you how to cheat correctly?? 😁🤣

well..I’m open to ideas lol. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease back in high school and my diet of soda and lots of calorie dense and often high in sugar foods, was making it worse. Has a ‘reset’ in 2006 with surgery which removed part of the colon. But they say it will reoccur and it was on its way to recurring when I changed and shifted away from the refined sugars and limited my carbs. So now I eat pretty much what I want to about 2300 calories trying to minimize carbs and avoid refined sugar. This has dramatically reduced the inflammation and all the symptoms have vanished and resulted in of course weight loss! I don’t eat veggies or salads at all So I’m kinda left with a meat and moderate carb choices and of course lots of vitamin supplements. I am paranoid about going back the wrong way on the scale and count calories all the time now and that’s why I whine and worry. Even with all this, I’m not wanting though, still steal m&ms from time to time, and even put choc chips in the kodiak protein pancakes.

Sounds like you have a handle on it all 😉. All my cheat ideas are full of carbs so that wouldn’t be good for you.

And I do cheat with an soft serve cone or fried cheese, or these tortilla chips I’m crunching right now :). Tonight will be a killer...going out with a couple from work to a pizza restaurant. Mid 40’s Date nights are crazy exciting ain’t they? The scale on Sunday morning will be giving me the finger but it will be worth it. :).

Lol I love eating out but I dread it also. As for date night in mid 40’s I wouldn’t know as I’m still in my 30’s 😁. Hubbys is 40 so I’ll ask him haha. Actually I haven’t had a date night without kids in years. My aunts take the kids every other summer for a weekend but I usually just sleep the whole time! And devour a book or two if I can. But yes, when we go out pizza is a grand date. Fast food is the norm for us because they all love it even hubby.
