Scale is fixed. Over the past 2 weeks, I went UP... but went DOWN on the tape measure (-1.25" off chest, -1.5" off waist and -1.0" off hips)... ah, the mystery of "me"!
214.0 lb Lost so far: 157.9 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

@momma6224 - the tape is good, the tape is wise! @chesgreen - and... the tape doesn't need to be calibrated, nor does it need batteries, and you don't have to kick it every so often (at least, that's what I hear... from others... in confidence...)

first, I am very proud of you! The next thing is muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less room. Which means that a moderate rise in your weight could be because you're putting on muscle?

as you lose fat and gain muscle, this is what you will see. just remember 5 lbs of fat take up way more room then 5 lbs of muscle. honestly, I step on a scale maybe once a month just to make sure I'm in a good caloric range, but I go by what I see and feel. tape measure going down means you are doing something right. :)
