I've just discovered "Imperfect Box". Look it up. It's cheap veggies that would normally go to waste from farms since the carrots are a little twisted or spinach a bit too wrinkly... the supermarkets won't buy the "not pretty" stuff so the farmers pitch it. Now we can buy it at a discounted rate.

Heck, if it's just going into a soup, stew, salad, whatever... who cares how it looks, really. 

In Washington, we have the most amazing cherries. The farmers in the eastern part of the state grow them and pack up their families for a weekends trip to the west side (Seattle area) and crash in a hotel at night while setting up stands during the day in the corners. 

I gave a guy half the price of a normal few pounds and told him next week when he comes to give me all his "garbage" cherries since I was using them for pies. We have been with this arrangement for a long time now. The cherries are just as delicious and he doesn't lose the value of his waste!
