5 weeks down, 9 to go!

Somewhere in the whirlwind of the last two weeks I lost track and forgot to post. These two weeks were a wash and I'll take it. Went completely off the rails the first weekend on a trip to the St. Louis Zoo, then celebrating my grandma's birthday and a belated Mother's Day. Starbucks, pasta, steak, cheesecake, ice cream cake, cookies, you name it and I came home with leftovers! Though I did order and willingly eat a salad for the first time in my life so that was quite a milestone! Then I got sick and while I didn't eat too much, I also didn't walk at all or track and drank 64 ounces of sugar water/soda a day to soothe my throat. Throw in a shark week that made me unusually ravenous and we have the perfect storm!

The good news is, I continue to look to refocus and think about all I could still accomplish by the end of this challenge. I'm gearing up to start studying for a certification exam I'll be taking next month but otherwise June should be extremely tame with no events, so back to it tomorrow.

I have been in my own head again lately too. I have read some things that have once again reminded me of the finiteness of time and that makes me want to act on it but deep down, I'm still not happy with myself. I keep telling myself I have to be a certain weight to do something, broach a topic, go out on a limb, all the while the days tick by and I'm afraid by the time I get there, it will be too late. Why can't I be confident in my current skin?

Today I'm heading out to breakfast and a movie with my mom while the caregiver is with my grandma. Spending quality time together is rare so this will be a fun way to spend my day off.

Have a great Memorial Day everyone!

You can be confindent in your own skin, you have proven you are strong willed when you refocused your diet! Don't set limits but rather goals. How bad do you want it! I had to save my own life no one was going to do it for me. I have complete faith that you are a success story waiting to be written❤️
