i weigh 50.5kgs!!!

woahhhhh

guyssss
i used to weigh 59kgs!!!
it's taken me forever and forver to figure out what works

So..
first I had to look at myself really well.
KNOW YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU KNOW YOUR EATING LIKES AND DISLIKES YOU’LL FIGURE OUT YOUR WEAK POINTS.

Eating Habits:
- I don't like cutting out types of food
- I don't know how to calorie count
- I like breakfast
- I like snacks
- I like dessrt
- I like supper
- I needed something not fancy e.g. no banting (which people ,I find, think it means they can eat all the fatty shit in the world)
- I ate too much in a day. Simple as that. I’d eat a bowl of oats, then a salad, then snack on nuts and biltong and granola bars.
My devil: granola, nuts (peanut butter, peanuts, almonds), Nutella.

EXERCISE HABITS:
I was only doing cardio

CHANGES:

How was I going to cut down calories and stay sane and keep it sustainable (I’ve kept my weight at 50kgs for the past 3 months now – I just havnt been on fat secret)  portion control & calorie correcting

Also, don’t let people tell you NEED to eat 3 meals a day. You don’t eat when you’re hungry.

EATING:
- I needed to do small little changes:
1. No coffee with milk
2. I skipped breakfast (seriously you don’t need to eat until lunch time)
3. Lunch time was 12pm
4. Lunch was WHATEVER but a portion enough for my two hands
5. SNACKS: popcorn (because airy and delicious)
6. DINNER was again whatever but two hands and if I got a take away or went out, I immediately halved it
7. Stopped buying granola, nuts, peanuts, biltong – even though my diet itself was healthy – my calories were high

GO TO FOOD ITEMS:
Lunch: salad always with 2 boiled eggs and no dressing, CHICKENNNNN
Dinner: anything really, curry, rice, stirfry, pizza etc.

I NEVER THOUGHT: oh well, fuck it, I ate three cookies, might aswell eat all.

DON’T THINK ALL OR NOTHING.

And then,
I calorie corrected:

If I went out for lunch and ate an entire pizza, I had a slice of toast for dinner
If I went out for breakfast and ate all the pancakes in the world, I skipped lunch

GOING OUT:
- Always only eat half, or try to
- Don’t order a drink, just water
- Keep a bottle of water in your car to sip all the time
- Share your dessert
- NO SAUCE ON ANYTHING

I agree with you, I switch off when people say cut out a whole food category, shame poor carbs...I love potatoes, rice and pasta, it's in the prep and quantity. Problem is that we eat for our ancestors and like we'll never see food again! I'm all for banning junk/processed foods not only for weight loss but with the early onset of lifestyle diseases nowadays you can't write off the impact of these crappy foods.

I agree with you being on any diet is not a lifestyle choice. I do a fairly high impact aerobics class 3x a week and approx 15km to 25km mountain bike cycle🚴 on Saturday. My weight is not moving. However I have come to the same conclusion as you and just this morning I have decided to make food choices for myself.

Swazi Princess back in the day I use to do Weight watchers and it worked for me and it worked very well. I wanted to rejoin but they pulled out of SA are you from SA? I still have my books from back then. Maybe I should just do that again
