I read Dawn's anniverary post (Congrats Dawn, you've done amazing!), and realized that I need to get back at this - it's hard for everyone to lose weight, and just because it's hard doesn't mean I shouldn't try.

If you've been looking at my weight chart, you'll notice in the past 6 weeks I've gained 13 pounds. I've gone from my all time low of 245.8 to 258.8.

So I have to work to lose the same 13 pounds again, but I'll do it.

I know that I just need to start tracking what I eat. I think I just need to track what I eat, regardless of what my calories are, I think I just need to recognize that what I'm eating is more than is necessary to sustain my body, and food is fuel, not fun.

I need to focus on this more. I need to make it important to me.

I generally don't do well with rules, but I think I need to cut out donuts and chocolate bars (and all similar substances). I just don't have self control over those right now.

I also need to start working out, and making it a priority...

Revised priorities:
1. Sleep (given I'm super busy with work, and it's critical to avoiding another seizure, it's #1).
2. Eat healthy (while I wanted to make exercise priority #2, I know that in reality, I can eat way more calories in an "off" day, than I would potentially burn off exercising, so it's more important).
3. Exercise (when I start moving, I'll have more energy for everything else)
4. Work (I'm going crazy with work, but my long term health is more important than any one client).

I was thinking that there is a gym at my office, and I should sign up - but I have a gym in my basement (well, pretty much), and I think I just need to start using it!

After dinner tonight, I'm going to work out. I hope you all are working out tonight too!

Losing weight IS hard. That journal i wrote is very deceiving because what it doesn't say is I'm totally struggling right now. We ALL go through this hun. I'm so happy you are BACK!!! You CAN totally get back on track and lose those pesky 13 lbs. You have done such an amazing job and will continue to DO AN AMAZING JOB!!! I'm right there with you. =) This is just a little blip on your road....just keep walking hun. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

That's right! I am having the same...almost there but not there yet crisis....can't seem to keep the food where it needs be...and I need to try to sneak in a bit more excerise beyond the usual. The tricky part of loosing weight is that the lighter you get...the harder it is! Don't give up hope, every mouthful is an opportunity to take control!
