kingkeld's Journal, 17 December 2011

It's Saturday afternoon here in Denmark. I finally got some sleep, after a long, hard day yesterday - but boy was it a ton of fun!
The Black Peanut, my band, did our 4th live show, and it was a success! People really liked what we did, and we played pretty well.

I haven't heard the recordings yet, so I have no idea if they're at all any good - the sound was created to sound good in the room, but the sound on the recording may be VERY different. We'll see later.

What I DID do was go through the photos from the evening. I know I've been teasing you guys with these for a while, and they're finally here! Thanks to our friend Frederik for taking them while we were busy rocking.

I found a handful of good ones from the show, and one of me without my bass guitar, so you can all check out the outfit that I got for the occasion. I also but one that Wife took the night before the show, where you can see it all and without the bass guitar - to give more of an impression of the outfit. I prefer it WITH the guitar, though. I really like it, and I think it fits my style perfectly. It's kinda classy, and kinda rock'n'roll at the same time. It's very ME. I hope you guys agree.

EDIT: I changed the photo format from a flash slide show to regular photos. I hope this helps those of you who couldn't see the pictures. Lesson learned.

Oh, and guess what! I DID reach a new low, and a WHOPPING one at that! I am now at 82.3 kgs! I just need a wee 5.3 kgs more (about 11 lbs) and I can to the "I-did-it"-dance! I am not only excited about this, but also very excited for Wife, who lost another kg too. I am so damn proud of her for doing this. She has now lost something like 15 kgs total, and as we went shopping earlier, I showed her a bag of kittie litter weighing 15 kgs, so she could visualize how much it really is. She was shocked to say the least. Well done babe, I love you!

EDIT: After I registered my weigh-in, I got this message:

Yeah, right! I wish! I could start maintaining on Wednesday morning. LOL!

Today, we got up late, so breakfast was skipped, but 1st meal was consumed about 90 minutes after we got out of bed, so I guess THAT is what was breakfast. Omelet with bacon and mushrooms out on the town. Then we went Christmas shopping, and shopping for weekend food. We found lingua, which is very rare to find at the shops here, so we're looking forward to a nice Mexican Sunday meal.

Other than that, not many news. It was a tough, all day event for us to go play yesterday. I had so much fun, as did the other band members, and I think the gang we played for enjoyed it very much.

Today, I am thankful that
- we survived the show!
- my beautiful wife and I enjoy the day together
- Harry Potter on blu-ray tonight

Happy weekend, guys! Life is good!

Mom2, it's a standard rule - if you are below 25 BMI, then your regular physician can approve of the surgery. If you're above 25 BMI, then the surgeons and the "specialists" have to approve it - which they are (in)famous for simply NOT doing. So below 25 it is. I was at 26.0 yesterday when I reached my new low, so I am only one point away. No biggie. I'll just meet the requirement. I have time to do it and don't mind at all. It's a lot easier than having to deal with a rejection just because of that, and then have to go through the hassle of re-qualifying etc.

I understand. You have such a wonderful attitude and you shouldn't have to keep explaining to people what you are doing. Bless your heart ... you do keep on explaining and I do thank you for your patience.

I don't mind explaining. I have full understanding of why people are wondering. Like I have stated before (and here I go again! lol!) I am mentally done already. I would stop now if it wasn't for the doc. I understand why people are curious, and obviously those who ask are the ones who don't know. New people gets added every day, and I can easily understand why they won't trawl through a 14 month weight loss journey worth of lengthy journals (though it's a pretty entertaining ride - I skipped through it the other day, just reading here and there.).
