Time2FixMe's Journal, 21 October 2016

I've been feeling discouraged lately because I can really feel my belly shrinking but still cannot fit into my jeans! That is until I realized that I've been living in leggings and sweats for two years and I am still a good 18-28 pounds away from where I was when I wore all of the clothes in my closet. I see how easy it is to let things get out of hand when you don't have that daily nudge of buttoning or belting and will make it a point to wear those clothes more regularly in the future as a "check-in"! Gotta keep going and eventually those jeans will fit and then become too small.

Funny enough, I think I'll actually be able to notice progress by my underwear. A few months ago, for the first time in my life, I actually started to outgrow my underwear. I guess I was in denial when I went to get more because the next size was still tighter than I'd prefer. So, since that's something I do wear everyday, I'll start to watch for it. 😂

In the meantime, I'm staying comfy!

Love your underwear connection. I too recently bought new underwear and it was too big. I rationalize that the manufactures do it purposely to get us to spend more money. Hehehe. My other thought is they use Asians as the models. No disrespect intended here. Please advise me if my comment is offensive so I don't do it again.

comfort is so important, but it is easy to get relaxed in loose clothing. you have got an awareness of whats going on with your body and you will succeed. My weight loss has been incredibly slow, but my clothes fit better and it is staying off and the scale is not all over the place...good luck to you! Glad you are taking the time to fix yourself! :)

Nice! Another help is to start using a tape measure - that way you see the encouraging progress of the "shrinking belly" and do not get so discouraged

I can relate to the underwear! You can imagine the rush I felt the first time I sat down, and my undies didn't roll down my belly. LOL! HCB is right.rely more on the tape measure than the scale. The scale is fickle!

Same experience (with the jeans), put on weight after my knee injury and I was pretty much living in leggings for 4 months before the jeans fiasco. Uhg. But we'll get there :)
