Day 8 soda free

Cleaning my freezer and preparing my shopping list.

LCHF starts tomorrow.

I am not getting support from my SO. He doesn't get that I am tired of being hungry all the time. I don't want to eat 6x 200 calorie meals a day, and I really believe that LCHF will help me. I wanted him to join me for my two weeks of LCHF, but he refused. So our fridge and pantry are full of temptations. I'm hoping that by not being hungry I will we able to steer clear of the carbs.

I can do 2 weeks.

It takes a little while to not be hungry. Sorry your SO isn't supportive. Maybe you can blow his mind on how well you do that he'll be jealous. I know that video Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off is motivating! Be strong this week. Starting is the hardest part.

The first 3-5 days may be very tough not to give in. While you switch over from burning sugar, it can be a little uncomfortable. Hang tough, keep reminding yourself why you're doing this, and prove something to your SO!

I was 21 stone (126kg or 294lbs) in October 2012. I drank a lot and ate a lot and killed 25% of my liver, then covered it in a nice thick layer of fat. I was immediately put on low fat by the doctor. I lost 1 stone (14lbs) in one year. In 2013 she switched me to LCHF and told me to concentrate on eating fish for at least half my meals. She guided me by saying to NOT do Atkins but eat in a similar way. We agreed my carb level at 50g per day. I lost 4 stone (56 lbs) over the next 2 years. I plateaued and she said I needed to switch to something else to lose weight but was going to take her time. In the meantime I was to restrict my calorie intake to 2000 per day. That was 2015. I lost nothing at all. Very recently she put me on a Pharmacist managed diet. I began a week ago yesterday. I had a blowout week and started this phase at 110kg and am now 103kg in 8 days. I am basically just not eating and drinking between 2 and 4 litres of water plus two low cal but high nutrition water based shakes per day, (you can see my diet calendar if you want). It's not for the feint hearted. I'm on this for medical reasons and am in the hands of my doctor but I have to say this very austere phase of weight loss is a doddle. The trick is to get a sport bottle and take frequent sips of water from it. This blanks over the hunger temporarily. I am drinking just under 4 litres of water daily. So if you get another hunger pang then sip water again. It really works. Now the hunger I get is outweighed by the feeling of losing weight every day. I guess I am eating myself from the inside-out. I will come off this soon and I know that I can do this. And here's the moral of the tale: If I can do it. You can do it. You just have to want it bad enough. And you have to be really really selfish. (I cook for but I eat separately from my family except for Sundays) And you have to pay close attention to yourself. And you absolutely must not deny what you put past your lips. Record it all and read your food diary carefully. You CAN do it. Good luck.
