Friday night and the munchies have arrived!!! I wanna eat, I wanna eat, I wanna eat!!! Am I hungry? Well ... no, not exactly. I've had my dinner and now I am sucking on a sugarless candy trying to fool myself into thinking it is actually a snack!! LOL!!! So ... I strategically moved myself upstairs ... away from the kitchen!! It is times like these that I wish I could just eat what I wanted and not have any consequences. Is there truly anyone who really eats what they want and doesn't have consequences? Oh yea ... some people actually stop eating when they are full!! I forgot. LOL!!! Anyway ... another bottle of Perrier for me and a movie. If I truly am hungry in a little while THEN I can pick a snack ... but oh gosh ... I just want to say ... well you know what I want to say!!! LOL!!!

Psst...I am one of those who eats what she wants...yeah, yeah I know...but...and big BUT here...I have a big butt...oh wait no that was not what I meant to say...LOL...BUT it means I lose very slowly over a long long period of time. *shrugs* to each his own as they say. :) I just can not fight with the whole deprivation thing...it just does not work for me...so here I am empathizing with your struggle because I still do! It is all about really focusing on how you are feeling both physically and emotionally...so they tell me! ;) Good Luck! I have been barreling down this path for almost 18 months and still don't have all the answers! Doubt I ever will...

I ate whenever and whatever I wanted yesterday. Guess what?? I gained weight. SUCKS!!! Hopefully you did better than me!!

Good job on staying away from the temptation. It does seem like all of us on here are fighting that like crazy these days. I'm up a pound this week, even though I'm still at goal, I am not surprised. The holiday season combined with the winter "blahs" really drives me to eat, eat, eat. By the way, I did know someone just once in my life who could eat whatever they wanted. She was rail thin and gobbled up McDonald's Big Macs all the time. She had an appetite like no other. That was 10 years ago. I wonder if she is still as skinny today? Bad eating habits seem to catch up with all of us in the end, you know?

My phone call from way back in the past and Info's comment about a new six week low have reminded me that we must look at the bigger picture and not concentrate so much on just today. You're doing fine.

Hi Moose, You are still within what seems to be a normal range for you of about 178-186 so everything seems good to me. If you go over 186, I would try to devise a plan, in advance, that would help me touch base at 180 before doing any additional indulging. Winter is a difficult period with the cold and the many triggers for overeating, so just apply the math as you have so effectively in the past. I don't remember if you lowered your goal weight already (I believe so) but, although it's a bit cruel, you might consider lowering it one more time (5 pounds?) after you return to 180. This might serve as a subtle psychological way to protect you from the perils of the season. Anyway, plot your loss, you know that you have to be crafty. :-) I hope that you are well my friend.

Thanks guys!! I gave in and snacked. I finished off some dip with fairly healthy chips, a couple of protein snack bars ... and I lost weight? Who can figure it out??? Your collective counsel is wise though ... and I so appreciate it!! Info you are absolutely correct. I am still in my range. I certainly have not failed at all. And I do plan on lowering that goal another five pounds but probably not until after the holidays and definitely when I am at 180!!! I am doing fine ... gosh is it so easy to get one's underwear in a bunch, isn't it?? LOL!!
