debrafrederick's Journal, 21 April 2016

Hi guys! I wasn't hungry this evening, I made me a peanut butter fat bomb to fill in my calories. Hubby is working 2nd shift and he told me not to cook him anything, so since it's no fun cooking for one, I simply did not cook. No sense eating when I'm not hungry anyway. Seems like all of my cravings are gone, no fanning the refrigerator door hunting for who knows what. No repeated laps around the kitchen looking for something left out, or squeezing the fruit to see if any is reaching the needs to be eaten now point. The bad part about this stage of my WOE is that it completely destroys my creativity in the kitchen and it makes shopping a real chore. They say never go grocery shopping when you are hungry, try shopping when you have no interest in food. I can shop all day for plants, clothes, stock feed, pet food. But get me in the grocery aisles and NOTHING appeals to me. I came home from the store last night with some cheese.....that was all. I looked at it tonight, shrugged and said Nah, not hungry. I know that in a week or so the disinterest will dissipate, meanwhile I'm drinking lots of water.

Wow! Amazing that you have no cravings. It must feel so good to be free of it though!! To confess I've hated grocery shopping most of my life. Only now I tolerate it pretty well because I started getting a peets coffee in the store. Now I don't have cravings for lattes either so I'll get a hot tea or sometimes bring my own tea. So enjoy the freedom from the cravings!!

It's great, but I think my exercise is suffering, didn't realize how many times I got out of my chair just to troll the kitchen for crumbs. I sat here reading for so long my butt hurts and I had difficulty straightening up to go get another glass of water

Fred, this happened to me last time I was really on track, mine did not stay, it started about two months in to my WOE and lasted 2-3 weeks. It also seems to me to be around the time I had my first stall so it must be a body adjustment in progress, but something changed and my interest in foods came back, just not in large quantities. I don't know if the dietary advice of keeping yourself above 1,000 calories a day is accurate because I am really having to force myself to consume that many, but I am afraid of what will happen to me if I fail to keep it up there. I know I have enough fat stores to keep me going for a very long time, but meanwhile there are other nutrients that my body requires for good health....the quandary is, do I listen to the AMA who has been giving us bad advice for nearly 50 years, or do I listen to my body which is telling me that I don't need food right now?
