Laying off the almonds this week as I was finding myself wanting to graze on them far too often. Strange that walnuts just don't have the same craving effect on me, so will keep those in my life for the time being (all seven halves a day). for those wondering, it's all about the healthy fat for me as i have eczema and nuts and avocado seem to have made somewhat of a difference in my skin and my life. if i don't itch, i don't scratch, and that is the key.

Ran a little on the treadmill this weekend. Didn't die. Also tried to add some stretching back into my life last night. My quads have been bugging me at night after walking the dogs (3-5 miles, depending), so I plopped down on the floor thinking I'd just flop my head down to the floor and -- surprise!!! -- someone's not as flexible as they used to be.

I'm guessing this is part of what's going on with my quads as well. I stretch my calves on the front stairs before we go, but that's not nearly enough for my whole leg. Glad I figured out I need to add this back into my life. And so easy to do. We'll get there.

yeah, it sneaks up on you. i walk every day, including canyons on the weekends, but other than stretching my achilles on the stairs before we start, i haven't really stretched much as an intentional movement lately. i love yoga and will pull out my DVDs and make it a thing when we get home from our walks. my dogs are the best motivation ever for me to get out and move. it makes them happy, it makes me happy and healthy. and staying home with a stir crazy german shepherd and a toller is not an option. they need exercise!
