Joe smoked a brisket yesterday. If you look at pic on right top you can see the great smoke ring he got. It was so tender we didnt need knives to cut it. Served with a side of asparagus. He is certainly perfected using the Traeger smoker!

Fire, I think he put it on around 7am and took it off around 4 pm and then let it rest covered in foil and a towel for 2 hours. It was delicious!🩷

Gina, There is a fat cap on brisket that helps keep it juicy and my husband puts apple juice in a container in smoker with meat. It may look dry in pics but it was very juicy and tender

Love brisket! Apple juice is a great idea.

Apple juice mixed with apple cider vinegar is really good for Injecting and basting the meat or using in place of the water In the water pan

otb, It was good! Also good idea about using apple juice and cde vinegar. Thanks! Redporch, We love it too. How is getting really good on smoker. His ribs are to die for. Making tri tip later this week.

Fire, Sounds yummy! We do grill with a charcoal grill now and then. I love making a spatchcock chicken on a charcoal grill. Also my husband corrected me...he said he put brisket on at 6am .my bad .🩷
