Had a good weekend. We didn't do much do to the cold and rainy weather. Just a reminder that fall is just around the corner. We didn't get to go to the fair. Instead we made applesauce and apple cake as we have a ton of apples from our apple tree. Normally we have nothing in all the 14 years that we have lived at this house!

So normally I weigh myself every morning. I'm up 2 lbs from Friday my weigh in day. Now I did have some cheats this weekend with chips and cake but I didn't eat a bag of chips or eat a ton of cake. So does that mean I need to stay away from these kinds of food forever? I always use to think that everything in moderation was ok but now I wonder. Is it because I didn't workout Saturday? I did a workout on Sunday. Any one have any thoughts...?

Salt really gets me, were the chips the salty kind?

I agree, if you had a lot more salt maybe it's water retention. I read an article the other day that talked about how as we age what we eat does become more important and you can't just work off what you eat anymore. So definitely moderation is key and maybe choosing between the chips and cake is better. I don't know though I struggle with food too. But, I've also heard that it's calories in, calories out and that's what matters. I'd just say keep up the fight and keep exercising and you'll slowly but surely see a loss.
