wholefoodnut's Journal, 13 September 2015

Thankfully I have a week off. I love having 4 weeks vacation. Reflecting yesterday and this morning about the past year. 3 years ago in September I started this journey.

Positives for the year: I'm fitter, I'm healthier, I've gotten some things accomplished on my house. My family is good. Life as a whole is pretty good. However, I've been feeling like my life is out of my control again and events are just pushing me along. That probably sounds crazy as I live alone.

I will spend this week catching up a lot of things around my house. That will make me feel better and decrease stress, I've feel like I've been behind all summer. It will also allow me to feel OK about spending the time at the gym a couple days a week.

I've also been taking a look at controlling my spending more. I've realized I'm spending more than I should on things that don't matter. I have a plan to be debt free except for my house again within the year and saving for replacing my car.

Obviously, making and following a good plan worked for you to get fit and healthy -- now just apply the same method to those other aspects in your life that you feel need some attention!

I've learned so much from the people on this site. I think the biggest lesson is that everything in your life ties into your weight and fitness. It's huge! Leigh, I've been working on it and lost track of much the last couple months with lots going on. I'm in such a better place than when I started this journey in so many ways. I've learned so much from the people on this site. I know I wouldn't be where I am without their incredible support and advice.

Your success with your journey encourages me, I will succeed because I won't give up even though it's slow going for me because of meds I want this to be a way of life. Thank you for making me feel like I can do it.

You have been so successful on your plan Jeri. All the best improvements need revisit and review from time to time. Its all part of the improvement and change process. You are aware of it and that is why you will continue to be successful. Enjoy your week xxx

Addie, slow is good it does give you time to tweak and adjust your plan so it works for you. It took me 2 years to lose those 60 pounds, also interfering meds for multiple bout bronchitis and pneumonia and decreased activity for 6 weeks at a time to let my lungs recover. Now the daily corticosteroids for controlling the asthma though this one doesn't seem to fight me with the weight.
