I have taken a trip down memory lane and revisited my old journals from when I first started in FS. I had so much energy, positivity, enthusiasm! Everything was fresh and new. I had moved to a new home/environment/lifestyle, new job, new friends, new challenges. Brought my Mother here to keep her safe and healthy. Life was good and the possibilities were endless! How can 8 years make that much of a difference? Is it stagnation? Somewhere around the end of 2019 my enthusiasm for life took a dip, and what used to be a challenge became a struggle, the only difference seems to be my perception of things. I am going to pick up a few tools I used back then to get back into a different mind set. Positive affirmations to get back my attitude of gratitude and self love. The healthy type of self love. My Daddy always told me, when you find yourself in a hole.....stop digging. So here we go, climbing out of the hole that I have managed to dig.

I am using a DDP Yoga routine called from couch to chair to improve my mobility and balance. Ya'll have a fantastic day! I'm planning to!

Thanks Erika! Right back atcha! I had contemplated just starting completely over with a new account and ditching all of the old stuff. Now I'm glad I didn't! Good stuff in those old journals.

Thanks Joe! Appreciate the support! I knew Paige's Daddy when I lived in West Palm Beach, we met Paige a few times there, he is an awesome guy and he made me feel tiny standing next to him. Top of my head hit his shoulder😊 He is one I look up to for incredible comebacks. His Dad was super cool too, he delivered parts for North Palm Beaches NAPA so he was out at our company in Jupiter almost every day.

Awesome post, Deb!!! 💜 I love affirmations! Mental health is also something that sometimes needs to be exercised. I've been thinking of starting yoga myself. I REALLY want to get back into strength training and have to start somewhere. I did do a few modified push-ups yesterday before breaking my fast when growth hormone was at its highest. Baby steps... We WILL crush ALL of our goals!!! 🙌 BET!!! 😉

Thanks Zen, you remind me of me when I first started, I'm hoping to get back to doing with comfort all of the things I did back then, like walking and simply going up and down steps without having to hold onto the handrail....we can do it!!

Great attitude. I also am digging my way out of a hole aging. I had worked so hard myself than Tharen care of a sick parent, I let myself go. I couldn’t believe I did it. I’m so glad to see posts like yours to know I’m not alone on this journey. It’s hard but with great attitudes all around that we can do this, we can! Thank you for sharing.

And there was Oliver, aka a dozen new usernames - all banned. Three old fasting keto biddies are b-a-a-ack, immune to the slings and arrows of people trying to shame us with our old journal entries and weight histories. I stopped putting my wellness first, and looking back, I really needed to add regular exercise and set fitness goals. Once the fat is off, there is more to do. I am so darn grateful I made it back to a place where I'm willing to get better. There's no self hate, no condemnation, only gratitude.

Thanks DP! I appreciate the support! HSW69 I feel your pain there, that was ONE of the many things that derailed my life also, when your parent(s) are ill and you work and have a family at home to take care of too......well, it's a lot. You got to set your wants aside, give your needs a lick and a promise all while feeling so helpless to help them in any meaningful way, other than just being there for them. Glad to give you some comfort and maybe some inspiration along the way. Lady D, after looking at your workout post, Imma gonna have to notch it up a bit to reach your level. I'm trying to be gentle at the moment to allow my knee to heal. Can't get very far if I cause serious damage to a major supporting pinion, so easy does it for me.

My level is literally floor level. The ab exercises and V-Sit are floor exercises, and the Shoulder and Bicep exercises are standing. My knees can't do much right now. Am taking stairs one at time with the railing. I think start your daily yoga! While I was failing the plank, I thought to myself "do the Cobra." Yoga will help with strengthening. DDP is awesome! So glad we stumbled back here!

LOL, that's what I was talking about.....you are working from the FLOOR!!! I can't go the floor because I can't get back up off the floor without a serious hand up from DH!! If you can get down on the floor and get back up YOU DA QUEEN!!

Interesting Lady D, thanks for the link! I got that level of excitement from my decision to restart, it was one from my heart. So I'm on the right track. This will expand me and benefit me and make me heard. And oddly enough, I high-fived myself in the mirror this morning because I looked rested, calm and peaceful with myself. Baby steps!
