I have epilepsy so I can't exhaust myself working out. Besides walking, do you have any less extreme work out tips?

I love coach kozack (sp?). I find I sometimes repeat his words in my head, remember the only person that you are trying to beat is you🤣 That is a sports drink you don't hear advertised often!

Nice! I’m a very fast walker because I have long legs, but it’s not always fun to walk or run a mile, there is no way I could run a mile, the best I can currently do is sprint for 1.5 minutes then walk for like 10 then jog the rest

ethan do you use a treadmill? im curious how "fast" you walk a mile using one? i just feel like the times are wildly inaccurate. i can usually walk a mile at 15min. but treadmill says over 20? (i even ran a bit.)

kenny- agreed. :)

So, my maximum walking speed without starting to jog is like 4.4 mph, but my average is 4 mph which is a 15 minute mile. I’ve been told that at walking pace that is fast, but when I talk to my friends about running pace some of them can get to around 6-7 minute miles, whereas my sprinting pace gives me a 5 minute mile, but I can’t keep it up for 5 minutes

It's not good or bad...it is about choices we make and portion control.

Good for you! Hope you enjoying your holidays with your beautiful kids. 💖

@ethan, that is a fast pace for walking. I do 3.8mph outside but 3.3mph on 15% incline on dreadmill. Have you guys seen the Olympic walkers? They walk over 8mph! They look funny doing it too. lol

Kaylinrenee - I am the same way, outside I average between 14 and 15 minutes for a mile, but on a treadmill it’s much longer for a mile (I thought i was going crazy when I noticed this! Lol 😂) I personally don’t like walking on a treadmill and only do so if the weather is really bad. It’s weird too cause my Apple Watch has a setting for outdoor walk and a setting for treadmill, so there must be a difference some where in the process.

kenny EXACTLY. glad its not just me. drives me insane. its 25° here in PA in the early morning. AND its dark out.... 2 things im not a fan of... frigid cold and the dark.

unhealthydaddy I'll have to look that up. i have a long stride so i could probably do a faster mph on the treadmill while still walking.... its just annoying.
