Hogan and I took a little walk last night, less than a mile, but he did it and was much happier afterwards. I think we're going to have to do the MRI. He has good days and not so good days, but I want to make sure I'm not pushing him too hard. It's also hard to tell with the heat. Not for me, but for him. All the dogs are lethargic in the heat and the house is above 80 most days once the sun comes out. The interesting part of all this is how quickly and well he's learned to navigate around the moves that cause him pain. So freaking smart. I'm not walking enough, I need to figure this out. Yes, I'm doing other things, but I need that mental release from my day. I've volunteered for a temporary assignment, but I suspect it will end up being "do this on top of what you're already doing" since we're still down a couple.
Trying to decide what we're having on the 4th. The guys want burgers and Greek chicken. I guess I'm down with that. I'll need to figure it out today and shop tomorrow. I don't want to be going shopping on a holiday weekend. I think I want some brats since it's been forever and a day.
turns out I had three different nests of Hooded Orioles with babies in my front yard. they all learned to fly on Monday and Tuesday. that day was chaos and now they're all pretty much gone. it was very cool. out of all that action, I got three pictures of actual birds, only one of which is worth sharing. I am very happy that all the nesting parents came back. I was really worried after the ship fire that those babies might not have made it through, but looks like they did and they all came back home to nest.
Taking tomorrow off, have some stuff that needs to get done.
Blob holding, muscle holding, water down which I don't get, but whatever. Oh, they changed my water drops to include pineapple without telling me. Not a huge fan and I ordered two boxes which I'm now going to have to force myself to drink. Fun. I like pineapple, but I like fresh pineapple, not drinks that are pineapple flavored which tend to be too sweet. Sounds like I'm in a bad mood, I'm not. just irritated on that bit. I switched my next order to something like strawberry watermelon, hope it's less sweet.
