Recording daily - motivated to get on track! My coworker pointed out that she watched me get to this weight (I gained 20 pounds in the past 2 years). So now I am motivated to have people watch me lose. I work with men, mostly, and none of them talk about weight unless I bring it up. Many of them struggle with watching what they eat so this is our common topic since I don't follow sports at all.

My friend K and I have a common problem as well: we each have a daughter who is trying to gain weight while we need to lose. I am working on adding healthy calories for my daughter and sharing with K. Yesterday I was so excited: made dinner for me and DD and split the calories in a healthy way!

So, my DD only eats once a day unless there is her food in the house - so picky, she is a vegetarian who doesn't like vegetables! For dinner last night, though, I think I worked it out successfully.

My menu: 2 egg whites plus one yolk, scrambled with 2 cups of veggies. I used a tablespoon of oil for both of us and cooked peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and celery with a shallot. Then I put 2 cups into the pan and poured my egg mixture on top. Salt and pepper. Served with 2 tablespoons of dill sour cream and 2 thin slices of avocado. I also had baby spinach.

Then for my daughter: 2 egg yolks and 1 white, scrambled with half a cup of veggies (she doesn't really like veggies). Then an ounce of cheese melted on top. Flavored with a tablespoon of dill sour cream. Made a sandwich with a toasted bulky roll, lightly buttered, and 4 slices of avocado. She had baby carrots with ranch dressing too.

At least I get to cook but I don't have to eat what I cook.

Hope you have a great day!

Managing weight for yourself and a kid is quite a challenge. How old is your daughter? I have 2 girls (10 and 12) and they are both healthy weight, not thinking about losing or gaining. But they like to bake and there are always cookies in the house. Ack!
