madaboutmoose's Journal, 27 May 2009

Busy day ... first chance I have had to journal. Had an all day inservice today ... an hour from home. It was good and I am now brain fried and tired!! LOL!!! I was hoping to do lunch on my own but surprize surprize lunch was included at a Mexican restaurant.
Fortunately they had taco salad no shell for one of the choices ... simply chicken, salsa, lettuce and tomatoes ... so that was fortunate for me. Made making a choice fairly painless. Another little dip in the vacation pounds melting away which of course also makes me happy.

I feel good about deciding to put in my numbers ... after I got over the initial "regret" and with all of your help I was able to accept without "regret" my good time and simply face the music. Boy I almost slipped into past habits ... although I weighed I still was fighting acceptance. It really is just a part of the journey and I will certainly vacation again and now I have a clearer picture of what to expect. Finding this balance isn't easy for me ... I find myself pulled into the "all or nothing" mentality. However, it really is different this time. That feels really fantastic. I am looking forward to being "green" again but it will happen when it happens ... no going crazy here ... at least I'm working on that concept!! LOL!!

I hope all you good buddies out there are doing well and finding your rhythm on your respective journeys.

Well done for getting your head round the holiday gains. Its all a question of balance - enjoying yourself without going mad and getting back on track after. When I look at my chart I can see the dates when I've been away by the ups and downs. It does come off pretty quickly though if you get straight back to it.

Indeed flaxseed!! I'm so glad it didn't take me a month to lose a week's worth of vacation!! It's been a good lesson for me ... hope I can remember next holiday!! Such a strange sensation, being "normal" LOL!!!!
