Today is my first day back to work after my hernia repair surgery. Unfortunately, I had to leave for 2.5 hours to take my son to the doctors. He hasn't been feeling a hundred percent for over a week now but hasn't stayed home from school either. He threw up last Tuesday night but then went to school the next day and was fine. Mind you he's been taking Advil morning and night. Friday night we went trick or treating for the 1st time (my son is 4.5 years old). He totally enjoyed it. Last night, his tummy was sore, probably for eating the treats (he's not a big candy eater) and then at midnight he starts throwing up. Poor kid. More Advil and back to sleep. THis morning his throat hurts, so much that he can't swallow. So my DH was going to take him and see about getting his mom to babysit our son after because DH just finished night shift. But his mom had appointments, so I said I could take our son to the drs while he grabbed some sleep. Fun, fun!! Anyway, my son got some antibiotics, my DH got some sleep and I'm here at work. There are a stack of files on my desk and my brain just doesn't want to work!! The good thing about being back through is the fridge is far away from me as is the pantry!!! I've been fortunate in that I haven't gained any weight from this ordeal but once I'm healed I'd like to see if I can drop 5lbs. Fingers crossed!

I'm glad you're back and sound like you're feeling well. Too bad your son is under the weather though. Poor kid. Hopefully those antibiotics will kick in and get rid of whatever has him down. Now that you're back I'm sure you'll do great!
