I had a training day today with my colleagues. There was a lot of goodies around. A can of nuts, red licorice, cookies, chocolate, chips, crackers, etc. Fortunately there was also some fresh fruit this morning. We went out to lunch. At first I couldn't see anything on the menu I thought was "okay" but I finally settled for a Sante Fe Grilled chicken sandwich. I just took off the top half of the bun (with a big old gob of pesto mayonnaise or something like that on it) and ate the rest open faced. It did have cheese on it and jalapenos and was quite tasty. My choices for sides were potato salad, chips, or their special corn pasta salad. I opted for the pasta salad and just ate a little. I wanted to snack but I did not, other than a few grapes, strawberries, and cantaloupe in the morning. It was difficult to estimate the calories but I did. I think I did okay with my choices. It sure is easier just to stay with a routine.

I too have found it easier to be on a routine and not out and guessing. I actually find myself now getting nervous and upset not knowing the caloric intake if I am out and about. I make healthy choices but still. I guess we need to get use to it though because we cant become hermits just to stay thin. Good job on the choices you made.

LOL!!! Yea ... I don't think the hermit option would be the most fun for us!! Somehow we'll figure out how to do this without being an up-tight, nervous, calorie obsessed b***h!! My hubby and I have a whole week out in about a week ... should prove interesting for me!! I'll let you know how it goes!
