I unboxed the Misfit Shine last night and confirmed what I already knew: without syncing to an Android 4.3/Bluetooth 4.0 device, it's useless. I unboxed the Power Wheel. It's pretty big compared to the Ab Wheel. I guess it should be since it costs three times as much as a basic Ab Wheel.

Six hours of solid sleep, two hours of drowsing while listening to podcasts. I forgot to do my get out of bed plank. Eight minutes of the Air Walk Trainer first thing in the morning to burn off glycogen while watching another episode of "Grimm" I may not have seen before. I don't regret buying the Air Walk Trainer. It's one of the pieces of equipment I've used the most along with the mat, the ankle weights, the dumbbells, and the rowing machine until the hernia enlarged.

Omron body fat monitor: 23.9 body fat, 19.3 BMI (dehydrated). Took potassium caplet. I'm trying to be more conscientious of hydration.

Coolest day in a long time. Seventy-five degrees this morning without the fan running.

Down day on the 4:3/alternate-day diet (500 calories). Cruising close to my RDI with chai but I want to take advantage of cool weather and get rid of this half-and-half before it goes bad.

Twelve minutes of stretches in bed. More strength training: 15 minutes of leg-strengthening exercises with dumbells and resistance bands and stand-ups, two sets of 20 reps; 39 minutes of whole body conditioning program with dumbbells, three sets of 10 reps each with six-pound dumbbells. Cardio: 45 minutes on the Air Walk Trainer, 3511 steps.

My back tension returned. Took a half hour nap. Did a 24-minute guided meditation hoping that would help.

The Lifeline Power Wheel comes partially assembled. You have to insert the rod that holds the pedals. One pedal is already put together, although they didn't do that great a job. Getting the foot strap past the rod is a little tricky. The thing is freaking huge compared to the Ab Wheel. Next step is to take a look at the book, Ab Wheel Workouts: 50 Exercises to Stretch and Strengthen Your Abs, Core, Arms, Back and Legs by Karl Knopf.

The DVD for the Lifeline cable exercise program arrived. I'm not doing the program right now, but I wanted to get a copy in case it went out of print. That's the last of my home gym purchases for a while. I may eventually get a stationary bike, but I've got a lot of cleaning up, organizing, and recycling before that.

I had to throw away a loaf of garlic bread I bought at the day-old bread rack at Kroger because it had mold on it. I also procrastinated on a bag of salad and that spoiled. Both example of food wasted because of poor planning and over-buying. I'm looking forward to drawing down the stock I have in pantries, refrigerator, and freezer, supplemented with necessities from Amazon Prime Pantry, before returning to Kroger. Cleaning up my slow cooker, getting ready for fall. I bought some liner bags before, but it turned out they were for the larger type of Crock Pots.

I'm thinking about ordering powdered eggs. Whenever I get the regular kind in cartons, I don't eat enough to justify the purchase and I'm always worried about eating them before they go bad. Ditto for milk, where a large part of what I'm hauling from the grocery store is water. That doesn't make much sense given I own a variety of blenders.

Feeling a twinge in my side occasionally. I don't know whether it's a side effect of the hernia or I pulled a muscle while rowing.

Chris, I'm struggling with the food wasted thing as well. I'm buying too much. This weekend is clean out the frig and take a good look at how I'm eating, I know part of it is that I've been hungry after work, eat a snack and skip what I planned for dinner because I'm not hungry. It's also take care of the fresh veggies from the garden weekend.

wholefoodnut, I suspect I also have some cereal gone bad on the very tippy top of my pantry shelf. I also want to clean out my fridge as well as clean out and organize the freezer compartment. Have a great weekend.

'd rather have everything natural than mass-produced, and there are ways to use them before they go bad. I freeze my meat and vegs divided in one serving sizes when I purchase them, and keep my bread in the freezer as well. Eggs hold quite long in the fridge, here we buy milk in tetrapaks or in glass bottles so we don't worry about them going bad easily. I do not buy much in one go, only enough for a week tops, then go back to the supermarket once I have only one day's food left.

I may try freezing eggs, AilaOne. I was freezing bread, but I ran out of space.

Alia, where are you located? Have never heard of a tetrapak.

Wholefoodnut, I am in Turkey :-) here it is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetra_Pak Chris, I am not freezing eggs, just put them in the fridge, on the shelves. If they are not totally afloat when you put them in salted water, they are good to eat.

Was wondering as your terms were different. Will have to look that up. M
