Thursday - May 8th - aka "My Friday" weather permitting. It's POURING rain right now ~ am not sure WHAT that will do to the Vintage Fair or Hot Air Balloon ride if it continues thru the weekend. But, it will most certainly bring much beauty to my yard so there's the silver lining if the rest turns to rust.
I'll confess, I'm a little nervous about the balloon ride too but my rationalization is if you gotta go out, that's definitely a cool way to do it. So in preparation, I think I need to come clean with a few confessions. And if I live it will clear the conscience to make way for a whole new host of 'no-no's for my upcoming '50, Again?' Birthday.
*I'm still too intimidated to order coffee at Starbucks; tried again yesterday. Fail. After getting in and out of line 3 times to 'think it over and try to phrase it properly in my head' I finally walked out. Water was easier.
*I flirted shamelessly with the Ford mechanic to try to lower the final bill on my 'annual tune up'. He flirted back by adding a whole slew of stuff done to double the invoice but said it was 'free'. Ok, we're both guilty of subterfuge.
*You know when you're on the 'spray paint' aisle in Home Depot and there's something from 'kitchen fixtures' just stuck on the shelf? Or when you find that can of spray paint in the nuts & bolts aisle? That's me. Sorry. I pick things up in stores, carry them around, and lay them down elsewhere when something else shiny distracts me.
*I only figured out how to upload a photo from the web into Imgur yesterday; prior to that I've been downloading them to my computer to upload. One. At. A. Time.
*It's taking every fiber of fidicuary responsibility in my body to keep me here at work today instead of closing and going shopping. That, and the rain. I don't want to get my hair wet.
*I mistakenly dialed gamblers anonymous when I was making the reservation for the casino/resort this weekend. I'd wondered why the last four digits of the phone number spelled STOP but dialed anyway. The operator wouldn't connect me with casino reservations. I think if they're going to put their number that close to the casino number on the website they'd be used to this by now. *I'm not mocking GA, I'm mocking idiots, including me.
That's about all I have to confess. Surely that cleared the way for a few shots of tequila. Y'all have a great day.
