Fiberoptic's Journal, 04 February 2021

I have not lost any weight in the last couple of weeks, just come down to what I was. I have eaten less calories than ever, and exercised with barely any results in January. Today I was 142.8 same as yesterday. So I ate half ounce of nuts BEFORE my usual morning walk and weighed again. Now it registered a pound less, even with the nuts and 3 coffee.

I am considering refraining from all the exercise and eating more to keep a 500 spread as I did before. Just walk and pedal. Going to stagger the calories and shake the body up. I am at a healthy weight now, so maybe my body is trying to tell me something? Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Madeline, I appreciate your comments tonight. This is my first time to comment on this site so hoping I'm not breaking any rules. I want to say that I, too, am in the same place you are. :( I''m eating less than a 1000 calories a day, high protein, and low carbs/fat. I lost 8 pounds in the first two days. That was two weeks ago and since then, I've not lost an ounce! Whats up with that?? I do believe its possible to NOT eat enough calories and the weight loss stops. Anyone else had this crazy experience

Hi Ripperry. It seems the body will slow its metabolism after a few pounds are shed. Especially so if under 1200 calories or a deficit of more than 500 calories/day. As I did this plus added additional exercise, I am spinning my wheels. I need to reset my metabolism by increasing what i am eating by 100-150 calories a week until I actually gain weight. Too much and the body just stores it as fat, as it doen't know what else to do with it. Here's hoping....X
