Saw the new Jack Ryan movie yesterday. It was action packed. I enjoyed it. Ate just a little popcorn and drank water. Then mom treated us to dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant ... oh so good!!! So two days in a row of eating dinner out means I didn't weigh. I did pretty good other than the meals out but I know there is a ton of sodium in restaurant food so I figured why torture myself.

This afternoon Mom has a doctor appointment so I'll be going to town, again, even though I am taking today off work. My son leaves today too. Back to the regular routine. I've done well with doing some kind of exercise everyday so I'm feeling good about that. I bought some DVD's by Peggy Cappy. She had a show on PBS years ago called "Yoga for the Rest of Us." They are designed for folks like me. Older, pain issues, not quite able to do the poses the other workouts contain. The poses look so easy but they aren't for me!!! LOL!!! That and I've started back on my Pilates which is SO HARD when you haven't done it for months and months AND you've gained weight and lost muscle. But I know if I stick with it, it WILL make a difference.

Yes ... I do hope the daughter situation turns around ... but ... well ... it if does it will be a very welcome surprise. In the mean time I must work to maintain balance and not let resentments build. There are things we need to do at our house. Our generator needs a rebuild, we need to replace the hot water heater, our cars need servicing, and the list goes on but all these things are on "hold" because we have to budget in an extra $500 a month to cover her rent. 2 days a week at minimum wage isn't going to cut it. Not even close. Haven't heard from her since Saturday night, when she wouldn't answer her phone.

So I think I should put on my exercise clothes but it is COLD still in the house. The clouds finally cleared off which means the temperature dropped. Under 60 in the house ... 18 outside today. No snow though. We've had a strange winter. The East Coast is getting slammed and we have almost no snow.

Okay ... enough for now ... must move on ... juice ... something ... I know I have things to do!!! Take care!!!

Morning Carol...I have been quite lazy in the exercise department too...I have no gumption to do so...I must get out of this rut I am in..mentally and physically..Hoping Feb is a better month for us all...:O)
