it was such a nice change. I cheated and bought the sauce from our favorite italian restaurant because I haven't felt comfortable with the crowds. and I think the next time I'll maybe make some pasta from scratch because the sauce is indeed worthy of the effort.

yum! does chickpeas pasta taste longer to cook than 'normal' wheat-based pasta? I know a lot of gluten free stuff takes a bit longer to cook and wondering regarding this. because definitely interested in chickpea pasta.yumm and a way to up your protein/fibre and improve digestion, etc !!

at a rolling boil with salted water for one serving at almost sea level it takes six minutes to reach al dente. it's taken me a few tries, but it is worth setting a timer to do it right. this is for the hard boxed stuff. I've never tried any fresh stuff. and you must cook it in truly boiling water. otherwise, it's a mushy chickpea paste. it doesn't recover like regular pasta can.

I crave pasta like this daily! Is this banza?

yes. I love it. penne is the best one, spaghetti then rotini.

that is not my generic order of preference, BTW, it's how these chickpea noodles cook due to their specific shapes. The penne just cooks up the easiest of the bunch.

That’s good to know! Penne is one of my favorite shapes, so that works. I have to see what our Costco carries for protein pasta because this looks so good!
