deborahkerr's Journal, 22 September 2020

after being a major sloth for the last month and a half I decided to kick it into gear. this week I've been doing some major walking. today was no different I started out of my normal walk which is just over 6 MI. the last leg of the Walk I took a right turn and kept on walking to the next subdivision area. it is a 14 mile walk from my house and back for just this part of the Walk. I got home and I was at 44,000 steps. I went to work at the liquor store and it was very slow so I continued walking. I mainly walked because there is no place to sit down while we're at work so I figured it would be best for me to keep walking and not stiffen up. 2 hours before the end of my shift I was at 20 miles for the day. most sane people would be okay with that well I decided since I was so close to walking a marathon I might as well. when I got done with work I was at 23 MI. I went home and then I walked to the convenience store and back still not even close to 26.3 miles. so I decided to walk around downtown for a while I was just at 25 MI when I ran into the neighbor. he said I seen you walking all over today how far did you get I go well you're not going to believe me but I'm working on a marathon he goes how far do you have to go. I told him a mile and a half at that point. just then a skunk walk close to him and I said watch out there's a skunk come over this way. I told him I had to finish my walk he said he would walk with me until I got to my 26.3 miles so we did and just a half an hour before midnight I hit the marathon marker. I am now sitting at the table and I poured myself a zombie dust beer by three floyds in Indiana. it was well worth that walk just to have this beer. just for the record I'm not going to do that ever again

German turtle you always inspire me. Shir and Melissa you inspire me as well love seeing your posts. Shir you got that arrow going in the right direction. Thanks ladies. One of the reasons I walked that much is I set a crazy goal. It is to walk 3,170,000 steps from Sept 17th (St practice day to March 17th St Patrick's day) That is 17500 steps per day. I know that when Winter hits Minnesnowta I might not get that in so I am banking as many steps as possible. The day after the walk I was not sore at all. I made some golden milk and that always helps. But I was really tired and only got in a little over 16000 steps.

I can not tell you how much I admire your fortitude. That was great. I feel like I should add, please be safe and careful. I walked 18 miles once in a charity walk. It was in the heat of summer and I had a sunburn not to be believed. Again, be safe and congrats on your accomplishments. 😷🤗😷

great job. I'm done after my 5 mile walk. My hips tell me it's time to sit down!

Zoe a year and half ago I couldn't walk a half a mile. The walks aren't just good exercise but it helps my mental health a lot. I suffer greatly from depression. I don't always get slot of steps in. Yesterday was a horrible day and I didn't even hit 6000 steps Today is new day. For your sore hips try golden milk. It is turmeric, cinnamon, pepper (helps your body absorb the turmeric) and milk. I drank this after my long walk and I wasn't sore the next day
