Have not been concentraing on healthy eating over the summer. It has been one thing after another. Crazy exhausting hours at work and with lack of meal panning would come home and eat what was quick. Grilled chees sandwich, peanut butter and toast etc.I've picked up numerous cookbooks at thrift shops that have inspired me. They are more nutrition books than cook books. I'm going back to healthy whole foods that have been my primary way of cooking most of my life.

Planning meals and shopping geared toward those meals is the key. Cooking some things ahead on weekends so I have good nutritious lunches and easy meals during the week. We know work is going to be really tough through Sept and Oct. we have been warned.

Also instead of coming home to a couple of beers it's now a small healthy snack and down to my basment to walk on my gazelle and starting to use some of my exercise videos again. 2 weeks and just 2 beers over the weekend. Feeling good with more energy.
