I am having a minor panic attack.

A few days ago we had a random inspection by a Fire Marshall. No biggie... I do filing for a doctor's office and we get inspected nearly every month. Well, this was the first time a city official has inspected the business instead of a home health/hospital and they wanted paperwork. Which should have been no problem but my boss started this business four years ago AND NEVER EVEN GOT THE LEGAL PAPERWORK TO START A BUSINESS! WHAT THE ****!?! If you can imagine... we are freaking out. The Fire Marshall wants us shut down and out of here immediately. My boss and the building supervisor are going to protest it today, but nobody knows what's going to happen. If they can't do anything, then we have to leave and find a new office... you know... one that's actually legit! I am incredibly pissed at my boss. And I'm really not too keen on the idea of being jobless for a few weeks while they look at real estate.

omg!!! i hope everything turns out okay!!! i'll be praying for you guys-ain't nothing worse than the unknown,just have to trust God to lead. hang in there! if you do like i have done before and pig out when stressed-grab a book/magazine instead.it helps get your mind off things-like those chips-ahoy

Tru dat. Time to switch to manual labor and really burn off those pounds!!! LOL I haven't really wanted to think of it (still crossing my fingers that I'll still have a job tomorrow), but my brother started working at distribution warehouse for more money than my cushy office job. And in the short time he's been there he's gone from average to six-pack abs. Hmmm... something to consider.

I stop by here often just for the randomness, so...thank you! :) That sucks about the job. The good news is that you should be able to get unemployment if they do suspend your wages for a few weeks. One way or another everything will work out. I have heard of fast processing for these types of situations for buisiness liscences. Good luck!
