Days 11 and 12 of the DF

Yesterday I skipped one of the DF guidelines and ate a slice of homemade bread (photo 1, don't tell me it isn't saying "eat me"). Actually, I really felt like it and it tasted great. It's also true that I was a little anxious about a work issue and that probably helped my willpower to waver. In any case, I'm following the plan quite well and I won't beat myself up over it. In a 21-day project, my initial unconfessed goal was to complete at least 15 days, and I think I'm going to achieve that by far.
It was a busy day and I don't have any pictures.

Today, everything is normal.
- Breakfast: porridge with fruit, herbal tea
- Mid-morning: tangerine, almonds, herbal tea
- Lunch at my mother-in-law's house: stewed beans, without the meat
- Dinner: carrots with guacamole and an apple.

Yesterday I walked 7,000 steps, today I've walked 5,000 already, but I suppose I will reach about 7,000 since we still have to go out and do some errands, and then go to the movies. I've already eaten dinner so I won't be tempted by the popcorn at the movies, which I love but are full of unhealthy fats

Happy Sunday afternoon everybody!

I love home made bread! Or even the French bread at the grocery store that is still warm.

Keyten, I don't know how pizza dough can be made without yeast, but if the store server said so I guess you'll simply have to believe them. In any case, don't worry about such a minor issue. You are rocking the DF!

Keyten and Eva - I have tried so hard to be 100% on the DF. But may have been off course with some of the spices I used. Garlic salt to be specific. But not going to worry about something pretty inconsequential. I know some breads can be made without yeast.

ok.

Fritzy, I don't see why garlic salt should be off-limits. Neither salt nor garlic are not-compliant. But, most importantly, as you and Keyten say, it's something inconsequential and you shouldn't worry about it.

Eva - Maybe it's just the brand of garlic salt I have. When I read the ingredients they were: sea salt, garlic, salt, modified corn starch, sugar, parsley, natural flavor and extractives of carrot (for color). Don't know what modified corn starch is or why there is sugar in it. Maybe I'll look around for another brand, but I really don't use it much.

LOL, Firtzy, your garlic salt is really more (or less, in nutritional terms) than "garlic and salt"! I use garlic powder often, which only includes garlic, and I assumed that yours would be the same just adding the salt. In any case, it is such a tiny issue, especially if you don't use it much, that it's not worth even the effort of looking for another brand.
