I’m gonna have to live with what I ate BEFORE the holiday meal. 1200+ cals within minutes! Mmm chocolate granola bars, Keebler cookies, kettle chips 🤩 I was just sitting here thinking about how I was so hungry and after carefully measuring my chips deciding I was still hungry! I rummaged around in the cupboard, and what did I find? A little package of cookies. That simply didn’t do it so then what else did I go ahead and grab? Several chocolate covered granola bars! Before I knew it I had finished the entire box! I’m told By eating disorder professionals that these little mini binges are normal on occasion. And I have to remind myself of that because I used to have so much guilt and shame around having a little private snack party. Because of course all I was doing was sneaking around and making sure no one saw. Now I feel so subversive leaving my wrappers on the top of the trash for everyone to see
Old me would’ve desperately been trying to purge and I shudder at the thought of how that used to feel. But the new me exhales with relieved because I am no longer hungry and I have a taste of chocolate lingering in my mouth.
